My ongoing love to the record elements of this world famous land mark the Sydney Opera House. I love the way the light reflects off the tiles. The architect Jørn Utzon commenced work as the designer in 1959 but resigned in February 1996 after the new Liberal Government was elected. The construction cost AUS $102 million a massive cost overrun from the original budget. The tiles are diamond shaped and are know as 'Sydney tiles' glossy white and matt cream and catches all the sunlight. Utzon got his inspiration from the mosques in the middle east and north Africa.
